SERVICES:
and now DIAL-UP for
those unable to get High-Speed

This is your answer for High-Speed Internet access. The antenna system, which is slightly larger than your home telephone, picks up a signal from one of our many towers located throughout the countryside. The signal is then transmitted through Cat5 wire. The wire is attached to a power supply and plugged into an electrical outlet. A small wire (pigtail) that comes off the power supply is then placed into the Ethernet port of your computer or router—and that’s all there is to it!

The signal can be received up to 5 miles from our tower. If, by chance, you live further than that, in most cases we can boost the signal with a piece of equipment called a signal booster. The signal booster attaches in front of the antenna making it appear much like a satellite dish system, but with a grill-like background. This signal booster can extend the range of signal up to 20 miles. All this works well as long as there is a good “line-of-sight” between your antenna and our tower. This means that the line-of-sight cannot be obstructed by trees, hills, buildings or low lying areas.
Leroy, Jackson, Lomira, Brownsville and parts of
Mayville may need the 900 MHz series antenna, $150. This antenna will need
a special signal booster starting at $20-$40. We have various areas of service and pricings
for monthly service, so please check
availability.

INSTALLATION
We recommend one of our independent service contractors to do the installation for you.
Bertram Wireless will not allow any self installs. Installation can be challenging and time-consuming for the inexperienced. All installers have many years of experience and are fully insured. Installation involves mounting the system on your roof or eave, depending on which offers the best line-of-sight. It can also be attached to poles, TV antenna masts, and tripods, as long as it is sturdy enough to hold stable in the elements. If you don't have any attaching devices, the installers can provide various
products to support our system. These servicemen are equipped to
install routers. USB adapters and Ethernet cards are priced by
the installers. You must be home during installation because access to your home and computer is necessary. If you decline service after the installer arrives
and gains line of site there will be a $25 charge for the installers service of coming to your location.
